Every piece is made entirely with unplugged hand tools: sawn, planed, carved and fitted by hand, with no machines.

The outside is eucalyptus, with a lively grain in honey and amber tones and darker streaks running through it. Inside, the walls that hold your cards are teak in deep brown. Teak is a dense, naturally oily wood, long valued for its durability and its resistance to moisture. A flowing wave line runs through the body. The lid is joined to it with a brass pin and swings open smoothly to reveal your cards.

About the wood: eucalyptus has a strongly figured, varied grain, so every holder looks different. Streaks, tiny marks and colour changes are natural features of the wood, not flaws. Wood also changes slowly with light and time, so the colours will mellow as you use it.
