Every piece is shaped entirely with unplugged hand tools: sawn, carved, chiseled, planed and sanded by hand, without a single power tool touching the wood. The result is a level of fit and finish that machines simply don't produce — tight seams, crisp curves, and a surface that feels alive in the palm.
Each holder is built from two contrasting woods, laminated so the lighter wood frames the darker body and traces the spine. The lid and body are cut from one continuous piece, so the grain flows unbroken across the distinctive wave-shaped seam — a detail you can follow with your eye from front to back. A small brass pivot pin, a pale wooden stop block, and a precisely mortised hinge arm let the lid flip open with a smooth, satisfying motion. The wave-shaped opening dips low at the front and back, so your cards are easy to pinch and slide out.
Inside, a single central compartment holds your everyday carry — credit cards, ID, transit pass, a few folded bills — snugly and securely. The solid-wood walls protect your cards far better than a leather sleeve or aluminum plate ever could.
The wood is finished to a soft matte-satin sheen that lets the natural grain speak for itself. No stains, no lacquers — just the wood, finished with care.

Care
Solid wood ages beautifully. If the surface dulls over time, a drop of wood oil or wax and a soft cloth restores the sheen. Keep it out of prolonged water and direct heat.
